On February 7, Didi Chuxing announced that it has reached a strategic cooperation agreement with 12 vehicle manufacturers such as Beiqi New Energy, BYD, Changan Automobile, Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle, Dongfeng-Yueda Kia Motors, Huatai Automobile, JAC, Geely, Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance, Chery, China FAW, Zhongtai New Energy to jointly build a shard vehicle service system for new energy vehicles for the future. Didi will use the comprehensive ability to integrate industrial chain resources,fully integrates vehicle, funds, parking lot, charging (pile), refueling, maintenance and other industry chain resources, optimize operating costs and efficiency through the coordination with the resources of other travel businesses.Through this cooperation, Didi will mainly provide platform and operation support for partners and merchants; the third-party time-share leasing platform invested by automobile manufacturers will access the Didi shared vehicle platform, and manufacturers can not only provide shared vehicle sources , but also provide financial and insurance services for the platform and partners. For Didi, it is not only trying to open up a shared car platform, but want to fully cooperate with car manufacturers, time-sharing rental platforms, leasing companies, infrastructure (refueling, charging) service providers and aftermarket service providers in order to layout the whole industry chain.
