China's Postal Service Grew Significantly in November
According to data released by the State Post Bureau on December 12, business revenue of the postal sector (excluding direct revenue from postal savings banks) was 992.85 billion yuan from January to November, a year-on-year increase of 14.4%. The total business volume reached 1.8759 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%. The data also showed that the business revenue of the whole industry reached 113.23 billion yuan in November, a year-on-year increase of 15.9%. The total business volume reached 241.65 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34.6%. From January to November, the total volume of postal services reached 254.37 billion yuan, up 12.6% year on year. The volume of postal delivery services totaled 23.26 billion pieces, up 3.5% year on year. Revenue from postal delivery services totaled 37.2 billion yuan, down 4.8% year on year. In November, postal services totaled 26.17 billion yuan, up 2.5% year on year. The volume of postal delivery services reached 2.28 billion pieces, down 1.3% from a year earlier. Revenue from postal delivery services reached 3.73 billion yuan, down 17.3% year on year. From January to November, the business volume of express delivery service enterprises reached 74.1 billion pieces, up 30.5% year-on-year. Business revenue totaled 786.92 billion yuan, up 17.0% year on year. Among them, intra-city business volume reached 11.03 billion pieces, up 11.1% year-on-year; business volume between different cities totaled 61.43 billion pieces, up 34.8% year-on-year. The international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan business volume has reached 1.64 billion pieces, with a year-on-year growth of 27.8%. In November, the business volume of express delivery service enterprises nationwide reached 9.73 billion pieces, up 36.5% year on year. Business revenue reached 95.94 billion yuan, up 20.4% year on year.
