Continuous Improvement of Supply and Demand in the Domestic Logistics Market
China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released new logistics operation data on November 24. Data show that supply and demand in the logistics market continue to improve and new drivers of growth are strong. From January to October, the total value of social logistics in China reached 229.3 trillion yuan, up 2.5% year on year and 0.5 percentage point higher than that in the first nine months of the year. Specifically, from January to October, the total value of logistics of industrial products grew by 1.8% year on year, 0.6 percentage points higher than that from January to September. The demand for logistics for people's livelihood consumption continued to pick up, especially the demand for logistics for new consumption models maintained strong growth. From January to October, the total logistics of unit and household goods increased by 13.8% year on year, 0.9 percentage points higher than that from January to September, and the growth rate has kept above 10% since the first half of the year. In addition, the total volume of import logistics increased by 9.0% from January to October, 0.4 percentage points lower than that from January to September, but still maintained a relatively fast growth. In terms of goods, the import volume of major bulk commodities has maintained a relatively fast growth, while the import volume of some mechanical and electrical products and some agricultural products has slowed down. From the point of view of the changing trend of logistics, it is basically consistent with the gradual recovery of China's economy, and also reflects the changes in the economic and consumption structure.
