Total Revenues of SOEs Increase Further in September
According to the Ministry of Finance website on the 29th, the stabilization of state-owned enterprises’ (SOEs) economic operation has been further consolidated. On the basis of achieving monthly year-on-year growth of total operation revenue and profit for four consecutive months, the total revenue and profit of SOEs has recovered to 99.3% of the same period last year from January to September. In terms of total operating revenue, the total revenue of SOEs increased 9.2% in September over the same month last year. From January to September, the total revenue was 440.8464 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%. In terms of total operating costs, the total operating costs of SOEs increased by 7.6% in September from the same period last year. From January to September, the total operating cost of SOEs reached 42,935.24 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%. In terms of total profits, total profits of SOEs increased 52.5% in September from the same period last year. From January to September, the total profit was 2,283.30 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.0%; In terms of net profits, after-tax net profits of SOEs increased by 60.9% in September compared with the same period of last year. From January to September, after-tax net profit was 1653.38 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 18.5%. The Ministry of Finance pointed out that in September, the total profit and net profit increased significantly year-on-year, due to both the accelerated recovery of enterprises' production and operation and the formal completion of trading and delivery of oil and gas pipelines between Petrochina, Sinopec and The National Pipe Network group.
