At the same time, 21 economists have forecasted the GDP growth rate in the third quarter of 2020. They believe that China's economy is recovering steadily now. Based on their predictions, the average GDP growth rate in the third quarter will increase sharply to 5.26% from 3.2% released last quarter. Economists also said that China will pay more attention to the quality of economic development in the future, with 40% of the economists said the “14thFive-Year Plan” will not give a clear GDP target, 60% think that the GDP growth target is the main basis of other binding targets, so it will not be completely cancelled. Their average forecast of the GDP target of the “14thFive-Year Plan” is 5.28%.
